This wonderful set features 9 animated pieces altogether. Each deer stands approximately 4½ feet tall. The maid offers a platter of plum pudding. She turns at the waist so that all can see the delicious treat she bears. Mrs. Van Deer carefully places gifts beneath the tree. Her arms move up and down, and her head turns side to side. Another Van Deer is tree trimming while dressed up as Santa. His arms move up and down, and his head turns side to side. The young Miss Van Deer stands present behind her back, under the mistletoe, moving her head from side to side. Her suitor also stands with a gift behind his back, moving his head side to side in expectation. Mr. Van Deer is playing the violin. His head and arms move side to side. The Van Deers other daughter is joyously singing carols to the accompaniment of her fathers violin. Her head and arm move up and down. The Van Deers butler bears a tray of drinks. He turns at the waist, offering them to the merry family. Finally, old Grandfather Van Deer is falling asleep in his favorite rocking chair.
